Why buy a
Welsh Run pup?

 Laughing
Finding the right breeder is as important as finding the right pup.
We hope you will consider us for your next companion

Jake

At Welsh Run, we believe dogs don't belong in wire cages and cement compounds;
in fact, we don’t own any
 Running
Whether you plan to hunt your dog or not,
it will be first and foremost--a family friend.
At Welsh Run, we believe that a family pet does better when it begins life
within a family environment.
  Sarah
We believe that if you give a pup a better start, you'll get
a better pup.
Seems pretty simple to us.
From birth, our pups are socialized with children,
other dogs, and cats.
  AragornPups
Our five children provide the pups with an active and busy
(oh, so busy!) environment.
The pups spend their days nosing
through our 1/4 acre private yard
and romping the 30 acres of spring-fed meadow and woods nearby, letting them hone their natural hunting ability
as well as terrorize the local songbirds

Stalking
When they're tired they curl up with the closest child
and then snooze away their nights snuggled in a corner of our son Jake's bedroom,
enjoying its interesting smells.

We are, by choice, a small kennel dedicated solely to the Epagneul Breton, or French Brittany.
We started in 1993 with an American Brittany named
Sparky Engine
(that's what you get when you let a 5-year-old name your dog).
But like many before us, we found that the Epagneul Breton has several advantages over its American cousin, and in fact over

At Welsh Run, our breeding goals are simple:
natural hunting ability
Exceptional temperament for the family environment
strict conformation to breed standard
