Reservations and deposits

  • •Welsh Run does not charge more based on color or gender--we follow the Breeders' Code of Ethics and our whole goal is to produce quality Epagneul Bretons for the family and field.
  • What happens when I place a deposit on a pup?   When you select a pup, click "add to cart". (We promise not to toss your puppy into an actual cart). Follow the prompts to make a secure payment of $150. This deposit reserves your new puppy for you.
  • What if I have questions during the deposit process? Upon placing your deposit, you will be prompted to send an email to "the seller" (that's us). We hope you will take this opportunity--and let us know if you prefer to communicate by email or by phone.
  • Is the deposit applied toward the cost of the puppy? Yes! Deposit of $150 will be deducted from total cost of the pup ($875), leaving a balance of $725. Once deposit is received, you will receive an email receipt.
  • What happens next?  After the deposit is received, we will send you a welcome email, and make arrangements for final payment and shipping of your beautiful new puppy.
  • Is my deposit refundable? We don't accept more than one deposit on an individual puppy. For this reason, deposits are non-refundable. However, if for some reason your reserved dog is unavailable, you may choose to apply your deposit to another pup in the litter, rollover the deposit toward the next litter, or receive a 100% refund.
  • For those paying with Paypal, there will be a 3% fee to cover the cost of this service.
  • Welsh Run Kennels reserves the right to safeguard the wellbeing of our pups. Every effort is made to match the right dog(s) to the right situation.  However, at any time during the placement process, should a prospective owner be deemed inappropriate for any reason, Welsh Run retains the right to cancel the contract. In this highly unlikely event, buyer will receive 100% refund of monies paid. We do not sell to dealers or brokers.

Registration

  • Your new pup is a purebred French Brittany, with a pedigree that goes back 20 generations
  • Welsh Run Kennels registers every litter with both AKC and UKC
  • Welsh Run Kennels follows the French naming conventions; since 2007 is a "C" year, your new puppy's registration name will consist of a "C" name of your choosing followed by the kennel name: C_______ ap Welsh Run, such as "Challis ap Welsh Run" or "Cevalon ap Welsh Run" or perhaps "Carolina's Hat ap Welsh Run."

Health and Guarantee

  • •All our health care is done in certified veterinary facilities--we don't believe in DIY vet care
  • Pups receive 1st shots and worming & flea/tick preventative •
  • Where necessary, tails are docked and dewclaws removed
  • •If requested, pup will receive microchip ID ($39)
  • •All our pups carry a one-year guarantee against hereditary illness. People ask us, "How can you guarantee your dogs?" Easy--when you have great dogs, you can stand behind them. Hereditary nature of the illness must be verified by your Veterinarian and confirmed by ours. If defect is confirmed, we will replace affected puppy with a new pup of our choice (buyer bears all costs of confirmation process and shipping of both the affected pup and the replacement pup). Guarantee is void if affected pup has been bred.
Shipping
  • •We are located in beautiful Lexington, SC. Please feel free to come by for a visit.
  • •It is always preferable to pick up your new puppy in person, but we understand that time and distance do not always allow for this. When necessary, we will make arrangements for puppy to be air-shipped.
  • •We ship via Delta Airlines; cost is approximately $230 (paid COD by you upon arrival); there is an additional fee of $85 to cover our expenses: crate ($60) and health certificate ($25). 
  •  We reserve the right to place our pups only with responsible families
